Leaflytics is a crop disease detection app that lets farmers and gardeners identify plant diseases instantly by uploading a photo of any affected leaf. Under the hood, it runs a custom-trained EfficientNetV2 model capable of diagnosing 38 plant-disease pairs with 99.13% accuracy on the validation set. The model is paired with a treatment recommendation layer that maps each diagnosis to actionable next steps, so the output is immediately useful, not just a classification label. The goal was to bring specialist-level diagnostic confidence to anyone with a smartphone, without needing agronomist access or lab turnaround time.
